Steve is the owner and broker of Lake Tahoe Mortgage, which he founded in 2016. He has lived in Lake Tahoe for over 35 years with his family after chasing the mountain life here from southern California.  As an entrepreneur and CPA, Steve's depth of knowledge of business, taxes, and finance enhances his ability to strategically advise clients on their options when planning real estate transactions. He thoroughly enjoys solving the problem of what’s best for you, by helping you plan in detail your next move investing in real estate for your financial future.

Meredith Herr joined her dad Steve at Lake Tahoe Mortgage in 2020 as a licensed loan officer after working for 10 years in corporate accounting and compliance for pre- and recent-IPO companies in Silicon Valley.  Meredith approaches each client's financial position with a holistic view of their long term and short term goals to find the best loan program to support their needs. She is especially passionate about working with women and first-time homebuyers to help them thoroughly understand the home loan process and how real estate can be used as a tool to build wealth. 

Meredith holds an MBA from the University of Nevada as well as a BA from the University of Denver. She also currently serves as the Nevada Political Advocacy Captain on behalf of the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts (AIME). In her free time you can find her on the slopes in the winter and hiking all over the Sierras with her chocolate lab, Oakley.
